Posted on: August 4th, 2010 Poster For Joaquin Phoenix’s I’M STILL HERE
Long before Mel Gibson demanded he be blown before the hot tub, Joaquin Phoenix was being eyed by many as the star to lose his marbles. And lost his marbles it seemed he did, between his unkempt physical appearance, bizarre interviews and, of course, the hip-hop career.
Then the line between fact and fiction began to blur, as it became known that Casey Affleck was filming Phoenix’s bizarre behavior for a documentary, rumored to include call girls, cocaine and embarrassing rap performances. The question is whether or not the documentary made Phoenix, or did Phoenix make the documentary. Is it all for show, like an odd experiment with fame, or is it truly a snapshot of an acclaimed actor turned head case? The jury is still out, though I’d put money on this all being some sort of ruse, albeit an entertaining looking one.
For now, take a look at this poster for the film, titled I’m Still Here, featuring Phoenix as we’ve come to know him, and will most likely remember him. That may not be a bad thing, but don’t forget the fine actor that resides behind all that hair.

And, in case you needed some refreshing…
