For the week of December 13 – 19: Retro throwback Mega Man 10 and talk of Christmas.

After the success of Capcom’s 8bit throwback Mega Man 9, it comes to no surprise that Mega Man 10 is in the works and slated for March 2010 for the 360, PS3 and Wii. Only two of the bosses have been revealed, one being Sheep Man and the other Commando Man. Interestingly enough, those two share a relation with two characters from other Capcom IP’s, Bionic Commando and Sheep (a strategy puzzle game).

Possibly a coincidence, but the idea of Mega Man bosses all being pulled from Capcom franchises makes me dizzy. Blanka Man anyone? One can wish.

There’s an easy mode (thank you!) that puts the difficulty more in line with Mega Man 2 (ouch!), achievements, online ranking, and downloadable content.

Here’s hoping for box art as beautifully retro gaudy as Mega Man 9.
