Bleep, Bleep. Bloop, Bloop. Video Games. 11-29/05-09
For the week of November 29 – 05: Cookies, Art and lots of reading. It’s snowing (here), curl up and take a moment.

Not a lot to talk about this week, but I did want to share some Left 4 Dead 2 cookies and Technabob.com has featured some video game art from artist ‘Laser Bread’s’ Make Something Cool Everyday project. Mission successful.
The paintings are dead simple, but I find them really interesting. Bet it wouldn’t be that hard to recreate if you want something to hang on your wall. But sometimes the things that appear simple are the hardest to reproduce. In this case, I don’t think that’s true. Have fun!

One other thing I wanted to mention is Gamasutra’s in-depth postmortem with Twisted Pixel, makers of The Maw and Splosion Man. But people don’t read long articles now a days, do they?
I had an intense love affair with Splosion Man, so reading about the creative process and ups and downs of the development was a real treat. It’s a great article and I recommend you check it out if you’re into that sort of thing.
Looking out my window now, I see it’s snowing sideways. I’m going to end things here and prepare for the long and snowy trip back home.
Until next week.
Dale can also be found over at www.8bitcyclops.com, looking at design, photography and old video game magazines.
