Here we go kiddies, our first look at the teaser trailer for the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake starring Jackie Earle Haley as the iconic Freddy Krueger. Take a look below.

Maybe it’s just me being really in the Halloween mood already, but damn I’m digging on this teaser. It looks like all those involved, Jackie Haley included, sure kept to their guns and made a film worthy of the franchise. It my anticipation is fulfilled, then we might just have an entry that is quite serious and legitimately scary.

I’m loving how we’re still seeing those iconic scenes in the trailer; the bathtub, floating above the bed, etc. On the whole Platinum Dunes remakes haven’t been that bad, but from this trailer I’m hoping for the bar to be raised on what exactly you can do to an old property. This looks awesome, and Jackie Earle looks wicked as Krueger.

The flick hits theaters April 30, 2010.
