Having finished watching the rest of QOS, i can't help but feel cheated. I was promised a Bond film and did not receive a Bond film, instead i recieved an action movie with a character whose name is synomonous with that of James Bond. On top of that, the movie felt like one giant after thought after another, with the story based around an opening car chase. The sad thing is that this had great potential to be a great Bond feature, IF they had done more than slap it all together in one sloppy package.

I do not dilike or hate any Bond film, each has their own unique thing that serperates it from previous outings, but I hated QOS as a Bond film, it took what CR set up and trampled it dead adn went a completly different direction then what CR had set out to do.

What seperates Bond from any other franchise IMO, is that you actaully care about the villian, in QOS, i could give a rat ass about dominc (or whatever his name was) once again an after thought, thrown in there for the heck of it, I never felt it was fully explained what his motivations were, other than profit and they should have given him some sort of defect and if not him, one of his henchmen.

All in all QOS was a good action peice, with misused and misplaced action scenes, but I still refuse to call it a Bond film, i lacked on so many levels.

Good point about the gun barrel shot. Never thought about that. I agree, we need more good Hollywood chase scenes.

Heres the thing with QOS, i have not seen the whole thing, just the opening car chase and the musical montage that comes with every bond and right off the bat here are two things that I noticed that really irked me.
1) No Gun Barrell shot. This really pissed me off, you can take away Q, and moneypenny, the gadgets and most everything else that makes upa bond flick, but unless you have the gun barrell sequence, its not a Bond Flick, even Never Say Never, which is not techincally part of the Bond Canon, had the Sequence.
2) Other than for Distribution purposes, seeing Fox's logo slapped allover, I don't understand why they have their unwanted hands allover Bond. This really got my blood boiling, Fox should be no where near any Bond flick, PERIOD!

I hate to watch the rest to find other things I dislike about this Bond, after only watching the first 10 min and I already have issues with it. On the plus side though, the car chase was awesome and very well done, its rare these days in hollywood to see a good car chase. Also initially i could not stand the new Bond son with Keyes and White, but after seeing the montage, it actaully fits and feels and sounds like its a Bond song.
