Kind of a weird year, with Dark Knight getting a bit of the shaft, and WALL-E losing out on what I hoped would be a best picture nomination. Overall I’m not expecting much from the awards. Watch Hugh Jackman dancersize the Academy Awards this February 22nd.

Now have at it below.

You really thought Wall-E deserved a best pic nod? I would have definitely agreed with Ratatouille or a few other Pixar flicks. But I don’t think Wall-E was as strong in all areas as it could have been.

I probably would have given it the nod over Ben Button though…

I really do! I think Wall-E serves as a clinic for how-to make a film properly. The cinematography is jaw-dropping, the score is phenomenal… its just… well I don’t want to regurgitate my review. Its the animated feature stigma that kills me. Wall-E is a better made film than most this year and I think it should be recognized.
